Bonnie says:
"My son and I were stuck on the western slopes of the Rockies and unfortunately weren't able to use this reservation. When I called Lupe to find out if she would accept my cancellation and possibly refund my money, she actually offered us the option of picking up our refund as we drive by! Now THAT'S what I call amazing customer service!
As we drove through the teeny, tiny little town, and especially when we pulled up to the building, we both remarked on how sad we were that we didn't get to stay there. The word "charm" doesn't even begin to describe it! The chattiest, nicest people were enjoying the sunshine outside, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The inn is adorable and, even though we didn't get to meet Lupe personally, we could tell by the building, the visitors, and the town that she's loaded with fantastic personality.
If we're ever going through that area again, you can be 100% positive that we'll be staying there!!"
Milly says:
"Lupe's place is an adventure, not just a nice place to rest from your travels. Almost a timeless stop on the Pony Express line, Sedgewick seems to have bypassed the craziness of modern day city life altogether and was a refreshingly different stopover. Lupe's hospitality was amazing and you believed the "make yourselves at home!" statement. All the best to you, Lupe!"

"Lupe is knowledgable, energetic host with lots of practical tips up her sleeve. She used to be a teacher and genuinely enjoys interacting with her guests. The place is really unique experience - comfortable yet very affordable and clean. If you are new to the area, she will gladly recommend sight seeing options as well. Will definitely stay here again. Gracias Lupe!"

"Just like staying at Grams! Area is in an out of the way area, amenities are plentiful! You can make yourself a bowl of cereal, a pbj, bed and pillow were comfortable, super deal for a quick overnight. Ill stay again if I come through again."

"If you have a chance to spend a night there, do it. There will come a time when you will have to book far ahead if things go as I think they will. Right now it is a rustic hunter's lodge."

Sherry says...
"This was one of the most interesting and unique stays I have ever had. It is an abandoned bank converted into a quaint little Bed & Breakfast. There are antiques everywhere and the decor is like stepping back in time. Guests are even allowed to explore the basement of the building where the bank vault is and the host captured the history of the era with her thousands of antiques and decor. I am not a big antique person, but we were blown away and spent hours just checking the place out.
This is a place to go if you are into adventure, a place with character and you are not what I would refer to as a "hotel snob". Its imperfections are what makes it so special. Your room is private, locked with a little latch and there are several bathrooms that are shared by guests. The real wood floors creak and its everything you would expect of a place that's from a century ago and we absolutely loved it.
Everything was clean and the host was more than accomodating. She even has a little breakfast nook where you can grab a cookie whenever you want or breakfast in the morning with lots of options.
For the price, the experience, this place is a definite must and quite memorable. My only caution would be that if you are offended by marijuana, keep in mind its legal here and you will catch a whif here and there although no smoking is allowed inside."
